Driving in Australia

5-2-10

No pedestrians were injured during the course of our driving instruction.

Ches and I rented a car and drove on Saturday. It was nerve-racking. The steering wheel is on the right hand side of the car and you drive in the left lane. The turn signal is on the right hand side of the steering wheel and the wipers are on the left. Every time I went to make a turn, the windshield got a wash. The round about or traffic circle is very intimidating and I almost got hit trying to merge into one. When driving you find yourself drifting to the left and have to be careful not to side swipe something. Ches wasn't so lucky, he swiped a plastic barrier. Chris watched Abby while we practiced because he feared for her safety.

Anyone that comes to visit better wear their seatbelt and bring a helmet.
