Riverfire

September 4, 2010

Every year the Brisbane Festival celebrates the city with an elaborate fireworks display with barges in the Brisbane River and off the Story Bridge.

It is hard to tell, but there were hundreds of boats in the river.

Heather Asher and Becky Langer arrive in Brisbane

We took a day trip to North Stradbroke Island or Straddie. We arrived by boat at Dunwich and took the bus to Point Lookout.

Feel the love!

We took the Gorge walk at Point Lookout with spectacular views.

Cairns with Mama Frannie, Papa Jim and Papa Ches

August 23rd through August 26th, 2010

We stayed in Palm Cove, north of Cairns.

They still like each other after all these years :)

We took a day trip to Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef. They offered a glass bottom boat to see the reef.

We were so exhausted that day, Dad and I snorkled.

The Chinese often holds their fingers this way. This means cheese or smile.
